When the City of Los Angeles was bidding for the 2024 Olympics they needed first and foremost to convince Angelenos that hosting the games would be beneficial both economically and culturally to the city. Historically the Games have left cities in debt and with arenas no one uses except for the occasional fly fishing convention. But LA already has the structures in place to accommodate a fiscaly responsible games. They just needed a website to tell that story.
