New Camera, New Photos

For those of you who don't know, my previous camera was stolen while I was napping in Indonesia. This was back in April, and it was sad. Since then I've been without a camera because I have no money. But, my new camera (and new super-wide angle lens!) came earlier this week, so now I'm back in business. I'll be doing some freelance architecture shooting for Bright Ideas in the next coming weeks, which is pretty exciting. So now I am no longer naked without a camera. Read more

Cool Free Brushes

I designed the above illustration other day as I was testing out some cool photoshop brushes from Brusheezy.com.

The first brush I used was a cloud brush, and a really good one at that. You can get is HERE. The second brush I used was a vine brush which is how I got all of those nifty swirly lines in there. You can get that HERE. Lastly, I used these grunge brushes for the edges and that dirty look. Get them HERE. Read more

Up and Running

Well, it was a painful week, but I have finished rebuilding my website from the ground up. If I didn't make it clear before through my continuous whining on facebook and twitter, I broke my website last weekend. No, there wasn't any kind of technical apocalypse that happened to my web server. It was I and I alone, who decided I should click the delete button on about 700 images on my website, thinking it was not my website, but a different one Read more

Act III: Saigon

Act III covers the last leg of Vietnam before heading to Cambodia. But first we checked out the fabled (and feared) Cu Chi Tunnels. Much like Hanoi, motorbikes were everywhere. The stop lights actually worked there however. Bonus: Pool party at the Cambodian embassy!

Act I: North Vietnam

Part I of a three week long vacation to Vietnam and Cambodia between my semesters teaching. The mountainous part of northern Vietnam is an area of natural beauty and culture. Me and my companions spent three days there trekking through the valley. Buffaloes, cute Asian children, and rice whiskey were all part of it.

Last Day of Classes

The first semester is suddenly over and the last day of classes left me with some interesting gifts. There is no doubt that I am going to miss my students. That is with the exception of all the cell phone talking, bathroom breaks, and lateness. There always room for improvement next semester.

Its Just (Monkey) Business

The quick day trip provided me with enough monkey pictures to fill all of your monkey picture desires, and then some (depending on your love of monkeys). The multitude of Wikipedia links might make your brain explode, so be careful!
