Instagram is one of the most used photo sharing platforms in the word with over 500 million users. However, the photography on Instagram was almost getting TOO good. People felt there were unwritten rules as to what you should post and how often you can post it.
Meanwhile, Snapchat was luring users to a format that felt more off the cuff and less curated. So then Instagram decided to add a similar feature also called stories, for which they asked us to create a film to help launch it. The film had to demonstrate the new feature but also make sure it was clear that everyone has a story– not just the latte sipping hipster living all folk-like.
