Keep your eyes on the road if you attempt this. I thought I’d try to catch up on my 7 hour drive home from Richmond.
Another cover video. This time U2′s “With or Without You”
I used my looping station on this one and it also turned out to be one of my better recordings in terms of sound quality. Just ignore the crappy guitar solo I tried to make up on the fly. Also, its pretty long, so I recommend just letting it play in the background after the first few minutes.
Sorry, classes just finally finished up, so I got a little behind. However this was recorded during Week Seven. Just not posted then. I have ground I need to make up still, so stay tuned. I’ve also been experimenting with the recording equipment I use, which calls for extra work when putting the videos together.
So I recorded this yesterday. So technically it was done last week.
But this week has been particularly busy. Sorry. Just hold on!
This week I was in Philadelphia with some of my family, so my brother Jared joined me on the piano! The song is “Silvertown” by the Pushstars. The audio is a bit rough, sorry.
Yup. Here is is. “White Black Page” by Mumford & Sons

This one is a little weird. I was sitting around trying to decide what to play and ended messing around with the Animals’ “House of the Rising Son” and thought, what if someone made this into a dance song or something. No drums or bass on it right now, and in fact my guitar playing and signing is pretty sketchy. But I was making it up on the spot, so I’ll use that as my excuse.
52 covers performed over 52 weeks. That’s right, in an attempt to get myself to practice and play my guitar more, I decided I’m going to undertake a project that will make me do just that. Not much to it, just me and my guitar, and once a week. I’m always of course open to guest musicians, even if you play the weirdest instrument. Here’s the inaugural video:
